Temporary HR Generalist

• Location : Greater Jackson, TN area
• Duration : 3-6 months
• Compensation : $30/HR+, depending on experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Temporary HR Generalist to support our client's HR team. This role will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, with a strong focus on payroll processing and compliance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both HR operations and payroll systems, and ready to contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Maintain employee records and ensure payroll data integrity
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
• Maintain HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity)
• Support employee relations and engagement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of HR experience, with direct payroll processing responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
