Job Description

At HCT by kdc/one , we live and breathe beauty innovation. From trend-forward formulations to sustainable, show-stopping packaging, we bring the world’s most iconic brands to life. Right now, we’re looking for a Product Development Coordinator to join our dynamic team—someone who’s not only organized but energized by the fast-paced, hands-on world of beauty.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

This entry-level position plays a critical role in supporting our Product Development department by managing the day-to-day activities of assigned brands. You’ll be responsible for keeping everything—and everyone—on track. Think: communicating with internal teams, tracking timelines, organizing samples, and making sure we deliver on every project with precision, speed, and style. If you thrive on details, love a good label maker, and want to get your foot in the door of the beauty industry, this one’s for you.

The Role at a Glance

  • Maintain proactive daily communication and follow-up with cross-functional teams to ensure key project milestones are met on time.
  • Collaborate consistently with both international and domestic factories to track progress, troubleshoot issues, and drive results.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates to Product Development, Sales, and clients as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply internal project management methodologies and uphold high standards across all stages of development.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics, managing all incoming and outgoing FedEx/UPS/DHL packages, both domestic and international.
  • Receive, sort, and organize incoming samples, maintaining clean, well-labeled, and efficient component and sample libraries.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive Product Information Files, ensuring all product details are documented and up to date.
  • Track and log all changes, approvals, and discrepancies with precision throughout the development process.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system, including clear labeling and documentation.
  • Prepare for meetings by gathering samples, printing supporting documents, and ensuring materials are presentation-ready.
  • Develop marketing sheets and fact pages to support new product launches and presentations.
  • Conduct trend and market research to help inform product strategies and stay ahead of industry innovations.
  • Assist the team with ingredient research, pricing comparisons, competitor assessments, and other analytical tasks.
  • Support the upkeep of the showroom and display areas, ensuring spaces are tidy and visually appealing for client visits.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the success of the Product Development team.

What We’re Looking For in You

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in the beauty or cosmetics industry strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and ensure accurate, high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information across various teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and creative thinker who demonstrates initiative and brings thoughtful ideas to the table.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and productivity.
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to re-prioritize tasks as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated motivation and a forward-thinking approach to anticipating team needs and project requirements.
  • Willingness to take ownership of responsibilities and seek assistance when necessary to ensure the success of the team.
  • A professional demeanor and commitment to excellence in all assigned tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Illustrator, with a willingness to learn additional software tools as required.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in the beauty industry and a passion for problem solving.
