Job title: Preconstruction Manager Compensation: 110-140K base Project Type: Healthcare, Life Sciences, Education, Commercial, self-performed concrete Position Overview The Preconstruction Manager will oversee the planning and execution of preconstruction activities for various projects, ensuring that all aspects are considered to deliver successful outcomes. This role involves collaboration with clients, architects, and contractors to develop comprehensive project plans and budgets, focusing on healthcare, life sciences, K-12 education, and general construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the preconstruction phase of projects from inception through to the construction phase.
- Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for various projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to provide insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and project information.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies during the preconstruction phase.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards throughout the preconstruction process.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management or estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, K-12 education, and construction projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
