We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and visionary English-speaking pastor to lead and grow our AGC English-speaking congregation. Whether you serve full-time or bi-vocationally, this role is an exciting opportunity to build a thriving ministry from the ground up.

Dear Friend,

My name is Thinh Tran, and nearly twenty years ago, God called me to leave my career in tech and step into full-time ministry. Through His grace and mercy, and with the support of an amazing, God-loving church family, we’ve built a thriving Southeast Asia-speaking congregation. About two years ago, God placed a new calling on our hearts: to start a new church with a mission to train and equip the next generation to "arise" (Joshua 1:2-3) and carry out the Great Commission.

Our vision is to create a vibrant, multi-generational, family-oriented church made up of Pan Asians and people of all backgrounds—united to care for one another and make an impact for Christ in our community. Since we embraced this calling, we’ve seen God work mightily. Our congregation has flourished, and our ministry is experiencing exponential growth. Recognizing this as God’s timing, we are prayerfully discerning that it’s time to launch our English-speaking ministry.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Vision

- Collaborate with senior pastors and elders to establish and execute a vision for a thriving English-speaking ministry.

- Build and expand a vibrant, Christ-centered culture that equips and empowers the next generation.

Preaching & Teaching

- Deliver biblically grounded, inspiring, and relevant sermons that connect faith with everyday life.

- Lead engaging Bible studies and small groups to help people grow deeper in their faith.

Discipleship & Mentorship

- Raise up leaders—train and mentor young adults to take ownership of their spiritual growth and serve in leadership roles.

- Develop a strong discipleship pathway that encourages spiritual maturity and service.

Community Building

- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where people from diverse backgrounds feel at home.

- Engage Southeast Asia immigrants, U.S.-born Asians, and other ethnic communities in authentic, Christ-centered relationships.

Next-Generation Engagement

- Partner with the next generation ministry to equip and inspire young people to be active members of the church.

- Help young adults navigate faith, identity, and purpose in today’s world.

Event Planning & Outreach

- Organize fellowship events, retreats, and outreach programs that deepen faith and strengthen community.

- Develop innovative ways to reach and engage the local community.

What We’re Looking For

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Divinity, or a related field required.

- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent preferred.

Experience :

- 3-5+ years in pastoral leadership (preferably in a multicultural or multi-generational setting).

- Experience in U.S.-born Asians ministry is a plus.

Skills & Strengths:

- Dynamic preaching and teaching that connects biblical truth to real-life challenges.

- Proven experience in discipleship, mentoring, and leadership development.

- Culturally sensitive and passionate about multi-ethnic, multi-generational ministry.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills to help build and scale the ministry.

Compensation & Role Flexibility

Salary

- Starting at $50,000/year, with potential for higher compensation based on role responsibilities, experience, and whether the position is full-time or bi-vocational.

Position Type

- We’re open to either full-time or bi-vocational candidates.
