Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Imaging Service Engineer 2 to join their team at Nassau University Medical Center. Under supervision, this individual will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating basic diagnostic imaging equipment and systems. The role requires regular interaction with clinical health providers to identify and resolve technology-based issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all medical imaging equipment is maintained to a high standard of quality and in a timely manner. This includes the repair, maintenance, and calibration of devices.

• Technical Support: Provide advanced support for equipment used in direct patient care. Address and resolve organization-level customer service issues and complaints.

• Expertise in Medical Devices: Specific experience is needed with MRI, CT, and CathLab equipment.

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure regulatory compliance and demonstrate a strong safety mindset at all times.

• Collaboration: Interact routinely with clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and contribute to solution development.

• Documentation: Prepare necessary documentation and reports to ensure transparency and regulatory adherence.

• Financial Responsibility: Manage purchasing of parts and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining operational integrity.

• Staff Development: Contribute to staff development by sharing knowledge and teaching technical skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in imaging experience within a hospital or healthcare setting. Experience with Hologic equipment is preferred.

• Decision Making: Strong ability to make informed decisions regarding the troubleshooting and repair of medical imaging devices.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills are essential.

• Flexibility: Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to address and resolve urgent issues.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a diverse range of diagnostic imaging or therapeutic radiation equipment and systems.

• Ability to interact effectively with clinical health providers in a collaborative problem-solving capacity.

• Ability to manage financial aspects of equipment maintenance, including purchasing and budget management.
