Job Title: HR & Talent Lead (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: In-Office (Preferred)

Job Type: 3-Month Contract with Potential for Full-Time Hire

Schedule: 30–40 hours/week

Compensation: $6,000–$8,000/month DOE — Paid Weekly

Position Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on HR & Talent Lead to drive both recruiting and HR operations. In this dual-role position, you'll take the lead on hiring top talent, coaching our internal recruiter, and ensuring smooth, compliant HR practices.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity designed for someone who thrives in a growth environment and is ready to own the function from end to end.

Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for priority roles (Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Business Development, etc.)
  • Mentor and support our in-house Recruiting Specialist
  • Develop and implement structured scorecards, sourcing strategies, and interview processes
  • Improve usage and reporting within our ATS for better pipeline visibility

HR Operations Oversight

  • Manage onboarding, new hire paperwork, and employee documentation
  • Ensure compliance with I-9s, job descriptions, and employment policies
  • Support employee relations and performance management processes
  • Assist in creating and refining internal SOPs for HR and recruiting.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of HR and/or recruiting experience, ideally in a leadership or standalone capacity
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance practices
  • Proven experience coaching or mentoring junior HR/recruiting staff
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong written/verbal communication
  • Industry knowledge of construction, skilled trades, or property management is a plus
  • Comfortable with ATS and HRIS systems (we welcome suggestions for improvements!)
