Eagle is seeking a motivated Director of Procurement and Supplier Relationships to oversee the sourcing, purchasing and delivery of our products to join our team. This role requires keen market sense, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to identify and build relationships with suppliers to ensure strategic procurement. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Business Development in identifying and developing strategic business opportunities and be involved in activities to drive revenue and overall company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, lead times, and long-term collaboration by leveraging price intelligence and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify business opportunities and collaborate with business development on activities to drive the overall company and revenue growth
  • Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies to leverage best practices and innovative solutions in procurement.
  • Continuously monitor global API markets for price trends, regulatory changes, emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Align procurement strategies with broader company objectives including sustainability, risk management, and innovation.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure optimal value for the organization.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Evaluate and implement procurement systems, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Track and analyze procurement spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement performance and key metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, required
  • Master’s degree, e.g. MBA (preferred)
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Established API network
  • Knowledge of excipients, secondary packaging components, and CDMO operations
  • Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Location: Hybrid schedule, 3-4 days onsite/1-2 days remote. This position is based at our headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, with occasional travel as needed.

Salary: 200-220k
