Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Equipment Mechanic to join a leading global supplier of high-calcium lime products!

This role offers hands-on work with specialized underground mining equipment and the chance to develop unique technical skills in a stable, safety-focused environment.

Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a prominent manufacturing company with over a century of history in the lime industry. Our client operates one of the largest lime facilities in the Americas, mining some of the purest limestone reserves in the world. What You'll Do:

  • Perform service, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mobile equipment including Loaders, Haul Trucks, and specialized Roof Bolters
  • Complete regular PM activities such as oil/filter changes, oil sampling, and tire replacement/repair
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, compressors, and basic electrical components
  • Monitor and maintain underground water collection areas and pumping equipment
  • Install and service water pumps or water lines to maintain appropriate water levels

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of heavy industry experience with mobile mechanic expertise
  • Knowledge of mobile equipment brands like JLG, Komatsu, and Bobcat highly desirable
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
  • 2+ years working with hydraulic systems
  • 1+ year handling basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters for equipment problem-solving
  • Experience with pumps and water management systems preferred
