Job Description

Local steel shop seeking action-oriented, reliable and hardworking individuals with 2+ years of manufacturing experience. This position is responsible for machine operation and handling materials as it relates to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. Must be able and willing to work overtime.

Hours: 4pm-12:30am

Pay: $18 per hours

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts in a safe manner.
• Packaging finished products for storage and shipment.
• Loading, unloading and receiving of both inbound/outbound shipments
• Read and adhere to standard and special packaging specifications.
• Must be able to use measuring devices to produce and check requirements of all materials
• Must be able to work from drawings or verbal instructions to complete tasks
• Must be able to set up, run, troubleshoot, and maintain machines
• Stamping/burn machine experience desired
• Must be able to perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled work environments
• Must be able to pass a basic tape measure test and use hand tools to complete tasks
• Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements
• Must be able to analyze prints and instructions for discrepancies
• Must be team-oriented and able to communicate effectively

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial and/or distribution environment
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled work environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without accomodations
• Must have reliable transportation and steady work history
• Steel-toed boots and hard hat required
• Must be computer literate
