Job Description

The Skybeck Summer Internship Program will help grow the next generation of industry leaders by providing University students across Texas with hands-on experience in Multifamily Construction at a best-in-class organization.

Each intern will be assigned to one of Skybeck’s project teams in the field. Supporting the Superintendent(s) and Project Engineer onsite will grant the intern exposure to performing quality control, site logistics, scheduling, safety, and subcontractor coordination.

Skybeck Construction is looking for competitive and resourceful individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands precision and attention to detail. This position will provide challenging opportunities to grow individually with an experienced construction team.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate Skybeck’s Core Values – WE ARE

  • Perform quality control and participate in the punch list process.
  • Assist with preparing daily reports and daily photos.
  • Attend and participate in weekly safety meetings.
  • Become familiar with construction software including Bluebeam and PlanGrid.
  • Oversee subcontractor work activities, as assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications:

  • Must be available to work in-person June 2024 - August 2024.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Determined self-starter. Always asking questions.

Education and Experience:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
