Our challenge

As an Appian Developer, the candidate will be responsible for software development, integration, customization, and support. The candidate will be working with other members of an agile team and will be responsible for new development. Team members are expected to work closely with analysts and the line of business to understand new requirements and to deliver.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Code, configure, debug, unit test, integration test and document application enhancements.
  • Support the development of user guides for new projects and enhancements.
  • Analyze, debug and revise existing application logic difficulties and update documentation as necessary.
  • Assist database developers, quality assurance team, business analysts in ways to ensure data integrity, consistency, security and privacy.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, standards and best practices in application development, documentation, and maintenance that support the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) following Agile iterative development approach.

Requirements:

  • 8+ Years of experience as an Appian Developer.
  • Hands-on development on Appian (18x/19x/20x) BPM applications, including SAIL code, is preferred. Good understanding of Appian Objects such as Records, Sites, Actions, Security, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDTs, Process Models. Constants, Decisions, Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, Groups, etc.
  • Skills to leverage Appian technical documentation and Appian user community to build new prototypes as required.
  • At least 5 years of Appian UI hands-on experience in development, configuration, debug, unit test and documentation.
  • Worked on one or more end-to-end Appian BPM or UI implementation (Design/ Develop/ Deploy/ Package).
  • Expertise in designing and implementing BPM solutions for process simplification, case management and role based applications.
  • Exceptional knowledge of the product including BPM Fundamentals, Architecture Components, Technical Features such as Designer Features, Configurations in Appian etc.
  • Experience in design and development in Appian BPM including components such as Tempo, Forums, SAIL, Plugin development, Smart Services, Reports and Deployment etc.
  • Expertise in business Integration deployment and human task management using Appian 18 higher versions.
  • Effectively troubleshoot technical issues as they arise during project life cycles.
  • Ability to do root cause analysis on production issues reported by business users.
  • Need to work independently on assignments based on specific requirements.
  • Experience with database design.
  • Identify and articulate the risks during development deployment.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various teams with exceptional communication skills.
  • Expertise in using CI\CD Pipeline for Appian.
